The requirement to keep hard copies of these records is simply facilitated by the web based reporting component of Asset Tracker, that allows PDF reports containing Site/Location/Serial Number/Description and Testing details for every electrical appliance to be printed, faxed, or emailed in PDF format direct from the application.

This use of Mobile Asset Tracker is mandated in certain jurisdictions by the recent introduction of industrial manslaughter regulations, and penalties ranging up to $1million for corporations and individuals responsible for the management of the organizations in certain circumstances where there has been a breach of occupational health and safety regulations. Under the new regulations, electrical appliance testing must occur every 1 month on building sites in NSW, and every 2 months in Victoria.
